Real India lies in the hearts of its people. The people who have made India a great civilization. The layer upon layer of social understanding and reasoning which Indians themselves may not be aware of but is there somewhere in their conscience, can be best unfolded and understood by visiting some of the greatest cultural centers of India. 

Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Khajuraho, Varanasi, Gwalior and Orchha represent the essence of India in their own ways that might be contrasting but never superimposing. An attempt to discover India again! 

  • Day01 - New Delhi: Welcome in India. Evening sound and light show at Red Fort.

  • Day02 - New Delhi: Daylong sightseeing of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad) and Lutyen's Delhi (New Delhi). Evening free to shop around busy Connaught Place.

  • Day03 - Jaipur: Drive to Jaipur with lunch at Neemrana Fort Palace on the way. Evening walk in the Pink City to shop in its colorful bazaars.

  • Day04 - Jaipur: Day sightseeing of the City Palace Complex and Amber Fort.  Visit to a farmhouse for local Rajasthani dinner.

  • Fatehpur Sikri - Akbar’s mammoth dream had to be abandoned due to non-availability of water.Day05 - Jaipur: Morning walking tour of some interesting streets and squares of the Pink City to catch glimpses of the habitual patterns of its people which even includes attending heart-rending prayers at Sri Govind Devji temple. 

    Optional day tour to Sanganer town (for block printing factories) or a lunch at Samode Palace.  Sunset view of Jaipur from the imposing Nahargarh fort.

  • Day06 - Agra: Visit the well preserved capital of Akbar - Fatehpur Sikri on the way. At Agra visit the incomparable Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Khajuraho - One of the 22 such surviving temples out of a total of 80 constructed a millennium ago.

  • Day07 - Khajuraho: Reach Jhansi by train and later drive to Khajuraho. Guided tour of a few temples.

  • Day08 - Khajuraho: Morning tour to another group of outstanding temples. Optional trip to Raneh falls.

  • Day09 - Varanasi: Reach by flight.  Walking tour of a few Ghats and narrow lanes to  feel the pulse of this most sacred city of India.

  • A boat ride on the Ganges at Varanasi is the ideal way to witness the religious rituals being performed on the Ghats.Day10 - Varanasi: Early morning boat ride on river Ganges to witness holy rituals on Ghats.  A very spiritual experience! Day tour to Sarnath where Buddha delivered his first sermon.

  • Day11 - New Delhi: Take the flight back to Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel. Evening free to visit one of the many cultural centers of New Delhi.

  • Day12 - Departure: Transfer to airport at appropriate departure time for onward journey.

Bundelkhand ExtensionThe towering Gwalior fort  a mute witness to countless political upheavals in North India.

  • Day01 - Gwalior: From Agra on day07 board the morning train to Gwalior. Visit Tansen's tomb, Jai Vilas Palace and the immense Gwalior fort. Sound and light show in the evening at Man Mandir Palace of the fort is highly recommended.

  • Day02 - Orchha: Travel by train till Jhansi and then by road to Orchha -  a virgin historical site picturesquely located by the banks of Betwa river. The place with its beautiful palaces and thematic chambers is still almost untouristic. Cenotaphs of the royal family at Orchha. Day free to move on own.

  • Day03 - Orchha: Visit the Fort, Raj Mahal palace, Raj Praveen Mahal Palace, Jehangir palace and the Royal Chhattries (cenotaphs). Also visit Raja Ram temple - the only place where Lord Rama is worshipped as a king.

  • Day04 - Khajuraho: Reach Khajuraho by road and resume the main itinerary thereon.
